EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomena is a recording that is made of the voices of the dead. There are many times that EVP are collected that are very interactive i.e. they directly answer your questions. I have captured many that answered my questions but of course you don't hear those answers until you are done with the investigation and are going back to listen to the recordings that you have made. I find EVP to be one of the most interesting methods of evidence collection. I feel that spirits want very badly to be able to communicate and through EVP they are able to do so. Here are many EVP that we have collected over the years, just click the green tab on the left and I hope that you will enjoy each and every one of them!
Lyric Opera House, Virginia MN
The Lyric Opera House is a very cool place! It has been a place where vaudeville used to play. It was a stop just prior to the vaudeville players heading into Canada. People like Mae West, Roy Rogers & Trigger and Tom Mix all played at the Lyric. I hope that you will check out our photo gallery for some really great photos of the old place! We did capture some great EVP at this location, including a class A! I hope that you enjoy them!

This is a very clear EVP that Dale captured. It is an eerie concept that
someone was shot in this location.
This is another EVP that Dale captured. We wonder if the spirit is talking
about the president or the school in Virginia that is named after him.
Here is the class A that we promised above. Brian Captured it...see what
you think!
Although this isn't the best one,
it is Brian's favorite! He captured this one and didn't know what to think
about it. It has female voices, male voices and kids. There is
singing and giggling too! Give this a listen and see what you think!

Wooden Table, Togo MN
The Wooden Table is a small, unassuming bar and restaurant in the northern Minnesota woods. It is a small spot in the road but a very interesting and apparently haunted location. Check out the EVP that we got there!
Dale recorded this one! He
asked if the spirit could tell us his or her name and you have to listen to what
he recorded and see what you think!

Cheryl's House, Togo MN
This house is located about 10 miles into nowhere in the backwoods of Northern Minnesota. The occupants of this house had trouble and turmoil in this house from its resident spirits from day one. The sad story continues with this very nice lady's husband committing suicide in their back yard. It has been a very sad and tragic story and unfortunately we were not able to give any real answers to her or establish any contact with her late husband. We did capture activity in the house and property primarily in the form of EVP. It is mind blowing just how many spirits we did actually encounter there and not all of them seemed to be overly nice!
This EVP was captured by Dale and
contains a strange clicking sound. It is just odd and shouldn't be there
but it is.
This spirit sounds like it isn't
liking any of us wandering around the house! It sounds to us like it is
telling us to get out of the house! Dale made this capture also.
Kyle asked if any spirits want to
talk with him...check out the answer he got! Dale made the actual capture
though!
Is Donna a spirit in the house that
wants us to know her? Listen for yourself to this capture by Dale!
What exactly is being said? You decide for yourself! Dale did make the
capture.
Did this ghost want to break our
camera labeled #2? Dale's capture at least makes us wonder!
We aren't quite sure of what is
being said...judge for yourself but the sound of this voice makes the hair on
the back of my neck stand straight up! Tiffany got this one!

Cheri's House, Hibbing MN
One of our earliest investigations of 2007 was conducted at Cheri's house in Hibbing. Cheri liked us all so much that she later applied to join our team. We did get seven EVP from her house that we have all found to be very interesting. We got them during the initial investigation as well as some during the cleansing that we attempted. Unfortunately the cleansing didn't work.
This EVP was captured by Tiffany during the
investigation. We hear this one quite clearly.

investigation. This one is certainly an odd sounding voice.
This EVP was captured by Kyle during the
investigation.

Annie Wilder's House, Sibley MN
This EVP was captured in Annie's upstairs "spare"
bedroom that contains the door to the attic. We hear this voice speaking
with an accent, possibly Italian. The loud creaking sound you hear also
was not a mundane occurrence. None of her doors make a sound like this.
Both the voice and the creak go unexplained.
This EVP sounds to us like a woman from the South.
Annie was able to find a link to Missouri and the house. Perhaps this is a
past resident from Missouri that still lingers in the North.
This EVP was captured by Tiffany. It may just
make the hair on the back of your neck stand up on end.
This EVP is a very interesting capture. See
if you hear the voice in it referring to Jacob.
S.S. William A. Irvin, Duluth MN
This EVP has a spirit's voice
telling us that they will be watching over us. We hear "I'll look after ya." I
am not sure why exactly, perhaps there is a dark entity on board that we have
not yet encountered.
This EVP taken from the ship has no specific meaning that
I am aware of but I am thinking that there may be something undocumented
relating to medicine that is being talked about here. We hear this one to say
"medical misuse."
Here is yet another EVP that really
doesn't make a lot of sense to me. We hear it to say, "Where's your download."
There was no conversation going on among the living about computers but I find
it interesting.
This EVP of a strange growl is one that was captured on
the main deck on the port side of the ship. I was alone at the time. This
strange growl sound never appeared anywhere else on our recorders but it will
make the hair on your neck stand up for sure!
This EVP seems to be from a ghost
that feels like it is being pressured to move along. This one is bordering on a
class A EVP. It could be also a strong class B. Give a listen and see what you
think about it.
Jane Ranum's House, Grand Marais MN
This EVP was captured in the
basement. We were having quite an experience when it was recorded. We were
watching the glow-in-the-dark portion of our logo on our shirts blanking on and
off for no reason as if something were blocking our view of them. Kyle was in
the basement too and we hear this voice saying "Kyle I don't want to hurt you.
This one occurred in Jane's daughter's room. I was asking
questions of the spirits there (name, etc.) when this voice chimed in and said
"I'm not telling you."
This last one was recorded in the basement of her house when myself and phil
went there to cleanse the house of the spirits. I hear it to say "She warned
us." I did ask Jane and she had discussed the fact that we were coming to do the
cleansing.
This audio file is a combination actually. The first part is an EVP that
we picked up in Jane's house while the second part is a known recording of Barry
Cowsill that was recorded by Jane when he was visiting her in Grand Marais.
Is this the voice of Barry on the EVP? I cannot be positive but it sounds
very much like him. My gut tells me that it is his voice that we captured
since some of the family's experiences in the house were related to things that
related directly to Barry. Listen to it and see what you think...could it
be him?
Depot, Duluth MN
This EVP was recorded on the
Northland car in the train museum. I believe it is referring to the very quick
drain on the battery of our camcorder that we were using to record some pendulum
use we were attempting. We believe this one to say "Don't break it."
Yet another EVP that was captured within the Northland car
in the museum. We hear it to say "shoot them." I believe this one refers to the
story of the deer being shot for the executives that came on board to tour the
logging camps of the northern Minnesota arrowhead.
This EVP was captured out in the train musuem when the story was being told of
how the executives would travel around in the Northland car and visit the
"ladies of the evening" at the logging camps they were visiting. We hear "House
of ill refute."
The Chase on the Lake, Walker MN
Here is an EVP that was captured at the Chase on the Lake, an old hotel in the
town of Walker MN. In this recording, myself and Kyle and another investigator
were discussing where to move the security camera when a female voice chimes in
with "down in the basement". This is most surely a class A EVP.
Here is another strange EVP that was captured in The Chase On The Lake Hotel.
Kyle and myself were setting up his security camera in the beginning of the
investigation. During this time I had my tape recorder rollng and captured this
strange voice. I am not sure if it is another language or if it is some sort of
chant. If anyone can identify it, please send me an email and let me know what
you think it is.
Moon Lake, Eveleth MN
This EVP was captured in the loft
area of the barn on the property at Moon Lake. There was myself and three other
men present, no women. I was discussing moving and re-setting up the security
camera with my wife Rhonda. The first voice is mine asking her if anyone was
watching the t.v. while setting it up again and after you can barely hear her
response of "Christie". Then, after the noise of the radio you can hear a female
voice say "hi". I would definitely have to consider this one a class "A" EVP.
While writing the chapter on the
Moon Lake property for my book "Ghosts: Minnesota's Other Natural Resource" I
had returned to interview the Harvey's. I managed to record another fantastic
EVP that says "Jackie Kennedy." This was during the time that Beth was
explaining an experience that they had on the property that concerned Jackie
Kennedy and this was not her voice. Beth was the only female (living that is)
that was there that day.
Christy's House, Virginia MN
This evp was captured on Halloween
2005 at Christies house in Virginia. One of our guests was asking for a name and
the response is from a little girl saying "Halloween". I am putting the raw
version first and a further slowed version below it.
This is the slowed down version.
This audio is strange to us. It
wasn't really pertinent to what was going on but seems pretty clear. I hear it
as "all you need to do is find Tristan". We are unsure at this time exactly who
Tristan is but we do feel that there are at least two children at this location.
Amy's House, Virginia MN
This EVP was captured on 9/17/05 at
an investigation at Amy's house. It is a class B for sure but I find it
interesting that it is in direct relation to a statement that I made before
hand. I hear this to say "can't" at the end of the clip. Take a listen and see
what you hear.
Ashley's House, Cohasset MN
This
evp is the second best class A evp that I have ever recorded. The first voice
on the audio is my own telling the spirits that when we leave they will be bound
to the property. A spirit quickly chimes in and states that they are bound and
won't be going anywhere. This one will make the hair on the back of your neck
stand up.
Old North Hibbing Cemetery, Hibbing MN
This
evp came from the Old North Hibbing, MN cemetery. It actually sounded much like
a scream when it was originally recorded. Once I slowed it down enough you
could make out that it says "quarter to three". I am not sure what the meaning
is but it is interesting none the less.
Lakeview Cemetery, Buhl MN
This evp was captured on July 23rd
2005. This is the absolute most clear evp I have ever captured. I was discussing
the flag video at the cemetery where it was filmed and when I stop to take a
breath in my sentence, a voice comes in and says "they weren't movin'" I was
astounded at the clarity and you will be too. Enjoy!
This evp was recorded in June of 2003 and immediately
after I asked the question, "if there are any spirits here show me a sign," This
is what was recorded on my micro cassette. My camcorder that was also running at
the time captured the flags moving without wind but didn't capture "There's no
harm in that", "yeah, show 'em the flags, Roy."
