Brian Leffler used to disbelieve that there could be anything of ghostly nature in our world. He would come up with some reason to disbelieve no matter how far-fetched the reasoning sounded, even to himself. Then, back in 1991 he rented a house and for the first time ever in his life was forced to believe that otherworldly phenomenon does exist. The constant knocking around upstairs, footsteps on the stairs, water faucets turning on by themselves and the ever present feeling of being watched brought this realization to him.
Brian began studying the paranormal in 1996. He would read books, study information on the internet and occasionally get out to the field. Of course in those days the field research was not as "open" as it is now and he kept it quiet from everyone, including his family. He had to, after all, as he was employed by the State of Minnesota a Corrections Officer. He couldn't afford to look "strange" in any way shape or form.
After moving into another haunted house back in 2001, he decided that a group would be in order since doing this type of investigation was probably something it would be best not to do alone all the time and N.M.P.I. was born. He began scouring the local countryside to look for like-minded people that wanted to be a part of this team and N.M.P.I. has been a strong force in paranormal investigation ever since.
